For Google, the Pixel is also hard to crack the iPhone

Google has serious ambitions for its Pixel. In addition to a nice specs and a photo sensor of very good quality, the firm hopes to highlight safety. Aware that this is still one of the great strengths of Apple, as we have seen in the case of San Bernardino, Google decided to communicate about it.
And that's Adrian Ludwig, head of security of Android, which it is stuck. Interviewed by the website Motherboard , he insisted that the effect of the virus were the same on both operating systems.
"Almost all threats have similar effects on both systems [...] There is no doubt that Google Pixel and an iPhone are similar on the question of security"

OS better and better secure

A statement that shows some optimism about Android and its ability to improve its security system. The open aspect of the OS would actually be his best defense. As was well an example on which to rely, Ludwig has obviously cited Stagefright flaw, which affected 95% of Android devices. A gaping hole that seems to have been actually used by malicious individuals. According to him, only 1% of smartphones and tablets by running the Google OS are infected with malware.
Ludwig believes however that most manufacturers have improved, and we should not deal with a flaw that could damage the entire ecosystem of Android. The speed of updates would avoid these pitfalls. On this last point, it is hard Android overtakes Apple, whose iOS 10 is already present on 60% of the models.
