Tunisia arrests two Americans suspected of ties to IS

Police in Tunisia arrested two US citizens on suspicion of "terrorist activities" after finding videos and pictures praising the Islamic State (IS) group, a security official said on Tuesday.
The suspects are brothers who recently converted to Islam, Tunisian radio Mosaique FM said in a news story, citing security officials. The radio also reported that the suspects told investigators that they wanted to impose Islamic law in Tunisia.
A report by Nessma TV said the brother's confiscated computers contained plans for attacks on Tunisian institutions.
The official told Reuters the suspects, aged 29 and 32, came to Tunisia to study and that one of them had married a Tunisian woman who had travelled to Syria.
The men are due to appear before a judge after being detained in Jandouba, close to the Algerian border, the official said.
Tunisia suffered several major attacks claimed by IS last year. The North African country has struggled to contain a militant threat from neighbouring Libya, and a high number of Tunisian militants have left to fight abroad.
