Obama on post-presidency: 'I'm like the old guy at the bar'

President Obama plans to stay in Washington after his presidency — a historically unusual occurrence that, Obama admitted, sounds a little pathetic.
"I'm like the old guy at the bar where you went to high school, right?  Still kinda hanging around. like his shirt's buttoned a little too low. Still thinks he's cool," he told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in an interview airing Monday night.
Obama stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live studios in Los Angeles Monday in the midst of a California campaign tour with fundraisers for Hillary Clinton and other down-ballot Democrats.
In other non-news from the interview:
► When Kimmel asked Obama if he ever laughs when he watches Trump debate, Obama responded, "Most of the time."
► Although he will no longer fly on Air Force One, he will be exempt from Transportation Security Administration lines once he's no longer president. He'll still have a Secret Service detail, "and they have connections."
► On the difference between himself and Donald Trump: "I don't tweet at 3 a.m. about people who insult me."
